Mary Ann Griffiths
Mary Ann Griffiths is Legation Strategies’ principal in the United Kingdom and Europe providing public relations, media liaison, government affairs and marketing communications services. Her work covers a broad range of industries, including defence, aerospace, engineering, technology, science, IT, transport and communications, both in the UK and internationally. She has also worked within MOD communications teams, representing the defence industry.
Early in her career, Mary Ann worked with Richard Branson and Per Lindstrand on record-breaking, hot air balloon projects and has also led the PR/media relations team for events such as the Farnborough International Airshow, where she coordinated Prime Minister Tony Blair’s press relations.
Mary Ann has supported companies exhibiting in the national pavilions at all the major international defence exhibitions and airshows and coordinated media liaison for the organisers of many UK defence events.
Specialising in marketing campaigns and new product launches, Mary Ann also writes and contributes articles for a variety of publications. She is experienced in handling crisis communications and has an extensive and up to date media contact network, gaining the reputation of being “the most pro-active PR person in the business”.
